Activity Trackers & Wearable Technology

Personally I find they’re as useful as you want them to be. I like having data (yes, questions on accuracy, but still as I say when they’re consistently inconsistent it’s a reference point to compare against), and they give me goals to hit.

I got an Apple Watch a few years ago when I was at the beginning of my ‘lifestyle overhaul’. It’s great to use it to hold myself accountable. When you are starting to instil habit changes it’s about finding the ways which work for you. Little changes add up over time and will help you make the progress you want.

Don’t get hung up on the literal numbers. Are you moving more because you got that nudge every hour you were sedentary, or because you’ve nearly closed your rings for the day? Use wearable technology to assist you in building habits.
